ABOUT

Todd Murphy was born in Chicago. IL, and moved to Georgia as a child. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and began his career in Atlanta. Quickly rising to international acclaim, Murphy's work is described as having "underlying artistic themes of metamorphosis, allusion, and life-in-the-moment." Murphy's work is in many private, corporate arid museum collections including: The High Museum of Art, The Mint Museum, Charlotte, NC, The Triton Museum in Santa Clara, CA, the Tampa Museum of Art, FL, the McKissick Museum of Art, Columbia, SC, and the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia, Athens.  He is also included in public collections at King & Spalding, Alston & Byrd, King Plow Arts Center and SAKS Fifth Avenue, as well as the Collection at SOVEREIGN.
In recent years, he has had exhibitions at the Bayly Museum of Art, University of Virginia, the Virginia Historic Society, the High Museum of Art, and the Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art.  He was a visiting artist at the University of Georgia as well as a visiting artist in the University of California summer program. He will continue to pursue art and design projects in the future.
